“VIVA SESSANTA, LUCIA!”
Concert for the 60th anniversary of creative activity
The luminary of modern viola art, legendary musician and teacher Lucia Leonardovna Lastovka will celebrate the 60th anniversary of her creative activity on February 17 at the Philharmonic Hall!
As always, the State Chamber Orchestra conducted by Evgeny Bushkov will become a mandatory participant of the Violist’s day (and in Belarus this day is associated exclusively with the name of Lucia Leonardovna and is celebrated with an annual concert). This is natural: since the foundation of the collective and for more than 30 years, Lucia Lastovka has been the permanent concertmaster of the viola group, at various times she was the director and second conductor.
The brilliant solo career of the violist (she toured in Russia, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Spain, the USA and other countries of the world) inspired famous Belarusian composers to create many works; some of them will be performed in concert (G.Gorelova, V.Korolchuk, E.Poplavsky). The program also includes masterpieces of viola music by R.Schumann, J.Brahms, M.Bruch, G.Enescu, D.Milhaud, Krz.Penderecki.
The names of the soloists have not yet been disclosed, but we are sure that the stage will “puffing” from the presence of viola (and not only) stars: if the poster has the name of Lucia Lastovka, the highest quality of performance is guaranteed.
