On December 4, 2025, the Big Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic will host a significant event in the capital’s musical life: a concert by the “Russian Piano School” project. The event will bring together on one stage outstanding young pianists of the new generation, continuing the great traditions of Russian performing arts.
The project’s contribution to the country’s cultural life was previously noted by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who sent a greeting to the participants and organizers of the “Russian Piano School” concerts.
The evening’s program will feature a comprehensive panorama of piano music: from Baroque and Romanticism to virtuoso works of the 20th and 21st centuries. The audience will hear masterpieces by Scarlatti, Gluck, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff, as well as transcriptions and compositions by Lyapunov, Kapustin, Marquez, and Pletnev.
“This concert is a clear embodiment of our project's mission: we don’t simply preserve traditions, but demonstrate their vibrant development in the hands of talented young musicians. It is important for us to create a bridge between the legacy of the great masters and the future that is being born today,” said the project’s general producer, Tabriz Shakhidi.
