“RIO RITA”

To the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War the State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Belarus presents the theatrical concert program “Rio Rita”.
The program was prepared with the participation of the National Film Studio “Belarusfilm” and the studio of historical films “Vladimir Bokun’s Workshop” and the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Phono Documents which provided archival footage of pre-war Minsk. Music and newsreel create an atmosphere of pre-war time, you will hear popular songs and melodies 1930–40: “Katyusha”, “Weary sun”, “Blue scarf”, “Three tankmen”, waltz “Autumn Dream” and “Waves of the Danube”, paso doble “Rio Rita” and many others.
In the main roles – the actress of the National Drama Theater named after M.Gorky Olga Zdyarskaya and theater and film actor Igor Petrov, in other roles – artists of the State Chamber Choir of Belarus (artistic director – Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Mikhailova).
The concert is attended by soloists of the dance group “Extravaganza” (choreographer – Alexey Kiselyov) and the instrumental ensemble under the direction of Alexander Kremko.
